Bringing BDA Apartment Owners Together
The BDA Apartments Owners Forum is a resident-led collective representing owners of BDA-constructed apartment projects across Bengaluru. The Forum was established to create a common platform through which apartment owners can come together, identify shared concerns, exchange information, and engage constructively with BDA and other stakeholders.
Our objective is not simply to raise concerns. It is to create a structured mechanism for representation and dialogue that can contribute to better governance, clearer processes, and improved living standards across BDA apartment communities.
Why the Forum
Bangalore Development Authority has developed apartment projects across Bengaluru, creating communities with thousands of apartment owners.
While individual projects may have their own specific circumstances, many allottee / owners face similar questions around governance, association formation, handover and takeover, maintenance, infrastructure, documentation, and long-term management.
When these concerns are addressed individually, the process can often be fragmented. A collective platform can bring greater clarity, consistency, and representation.
The Forum seeks to provide that platform.
Our Purpose
The Forum works towards strengthening the collective representation of BDA apartment owners and enabling constructive engagement with public authorities.
We aim to:
- Build a credible and representative platform for BDA apartment owners
- Identify and articulate issues that affect multiple apartment communities
- Engage with BDA and relevant authorities in a structured manner
- Encourage transparent and accountable governance
- Support the formation and functioning of apartment associations
- Promote greater clarity in handover and takeover processes
- Advocate for appropriate policies and processes for BDA apartment communities
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between apartment projects
